Boar’s Head Meats

Boar’s Head has issued a recall of some of its products due to a potential Listeria monocytogenes outbreak. If you have purchased any of these deli meats at Sprouts deli service counters, please do not consume them. Sprouts has removed these products from its stores.

Listeria monocytogenes is an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people and others with weakened immune systems. Although healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea, Listeria infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women. Anyone concerned about an injury or illness should contact a healthcare provider.

Marco Ice Cream

Marco Sweets & Spices, out of an abundance of caution, has initiated a voluntary recall of all batches of ice creams and ice cream sandwiches for all flavors and containers due to a voluntary recall initiated by its co-manufacturer, Totally Cool, Inc.

Totally Cool initiated a recall of all products produced at its facility based on the presence of Listeria monocytogenes on its ice cream cake line, detected during a routine FDA inspection. They have ceased production and distribution of all products. No confirmed illness have been reported at this time from consumption of any products made at Totally Cool.

Raw Farm Cheddar Cheese

Raw Farm has initiated a Class I recall of Raw Farm Cheddar Cheese due to potential contamination with E. coli. This affects ALL lots and “Best By” dates of these products.

E. coli symptoms begin anywhere from a few days after consuming contaminated food or up to nine days later. Symptoms include severe stomach cramps, diarrhea, fever, nausea, and/or vomiting. The severity or presence of certain symptoms may depend on the type of pathogenic E. coli causing the infection. Some infections can cause severe bloody diarrhea and lead to life-threatening conditions, such as a type of kidney failure called hemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS), or the development of high blood pressure, chronic kidney disease, and neurologic problems.

Consumers who purchased RAW FARM-brand Raw Cheddar cheese, including wholesale products, should carefully clean and sanitize any surfaces or containers that it touched.

Dietz & Watson initiated a voluntary recall of its 8-oz. Party Platter Calabrese, Salame, Capocollo due to the potential contamination with Salmonella.

There have been no illnesses reported to date. In the interest of customer safety, we have proactively removed these items from our stores.

All units with the “Sell/Use By” date of 06/17/2024 and prior are affected. The following product/codes include:

• Lot Code 7543B
