Sprouts Rewards Terms & Conditions

PLEASE READ THESE SPROUTS REWARDS PROGRAM TERMS CAREFULLY. BY ACCESSING OR USING THE SPROUTS REWARDS PROGRAM OR OTHERWISE AGREEING TO THESE REWARDS TERMS, YOU UNDERSTAND AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE REWARDS TERMS AND RECOGNIZE THAT YOU MAY BE WAIVING CERTAIN RIGHTS.

Subject to these Sprouts Rewards Program Terms and Conditions set forth below (the “Rewards Terms”), members of the Sprouts Rewards Program (“Program”) will earn points in connection with the purchase of qualifying products at Sprouts stores, at sprouts.com, and on the Sprouts App.

These Rewards Terms are a legally binding agreement between members of the Program (“Members” or “you”) and Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. (together with its affiliates, “Sprouts,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating a Sprouts digital account and joining the Sprouts Rewards Program (where available), you agree to be bound by these Rewards Terms, the Sprouts Terms of Use (which these Rewards Terms are hereby incorporated into) (the “Sprouts Terms”) and the Sprouts Privacy Policy. In the event of a conflict between the Rewards Terms and the Sprouts Terms, the Rewards Terms shall control. Sprouts reserves the right to terminate, cancel, modify or restrict Sprouts Rewards or any aspect of the Program, including, without limitation, these terms and the point earning and redemption policies, at any time. Sprouts may make changes to the Program even if such changes affect your ability to use points or rewards already accumulated. Changes can be made without advance notice.

THESE REWARDS TERMS CONTAIN A BINDING ARBITRATION AGREEMENT WHICH LIMITS YOUR RIGHTS TO BRING AN ACTION IN COURT, BRING A CLASS ACTION, AND HAVE DISPUTES DECIDED BY A JUDGE OR JURY, AS WELL AS PROVISIONS THAT LIMIT OUR LIABILITY TO YOU.

YOUR CONTINUED PARTICIPATION IN THE PROGRAM IS SUBJECT TO YOUR CONTINUED COMPLIANCE WITH THESE REWARDS TERMS. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE REWARDS TERMS, YOU MAY NOT PARTICIPATE IN THE PROGRAM.

CONTINUED PARTICIPATION IN THE PROGRAM AFTER CHANGES HAVE BEEN MADE TO THESE REWARDS TERMS CONSTITUTES YOUR ACCEPTANCE OF THE REVISED TERMS THEN IN EFFECT. YOU AGREE THAT YOU WILL REVIEW THESE REWARDS TERMS PERIODICALLY AND THAT YOU SHALL BE BOUND BY THESE REWARDS TERMS AND ANY MODIFICATIONS TO IT.

I. MEMBERSHIP

1. Membership and Eligibility.

The Program is a free loyalty program offered by Sprouts. You must be 18 years or older and a legal resident of the United States and in an available loyalty market area (based on zip code and disclosed during the online enrollment process) to be eligible for membership. Membership in the Program is limited to individuals only and is limited to one account per individual email address. Corporations or other entities or organizations of any kind are not eligible to participate in the Program.

The Sprouts Rewards Program is available only in limited loyalty market areas. Customers who create a Sprouts digital account (“Account”) and reside in a loyalty market area (based on zip code provided during online enrollment) will be eligible to participate in the Program. The Program is void where prohibited. You may only participate in the Program using one Account. We reserve the right to suspend, modify, or discontinue the eligibility of any person who uses or is suspected of using the Program in a manner inconsistent with these Rewards Terms, any agreement between you and Sprouts (including the Terms and Conditions located here), any federal or state laws, statutes, or ordinances, or that Sprouts determines is abusive or inappropriate in its reasonable discretion. Similarly, such action by you may result in you losing benefits accrued under the Program. In addition to suspension or discontinuance of eligibility, we have the right to take appropriate administrative and/or legal action against such persons. It is your responsibility to ensure any rewards or benefits you earn under the Program are accrued correctly. See next section on how to contact Sprouts if you believe an error has been made in awarding points to your Account.

2. Enrollment.

If you are eligible to enroll in the Program, you may do so online at sprouts.com or by downloading the Sprouts mobile app and creating an Account. After providing enrollment details (including zip code for residence in a loyalty market area), you will be enrolled in the Program and will be eligible for point and reward earnings as well as other Program benefits. It is your responsibility to make sure the information in your Account is accurate.

If you believe there is an error in your Account balance or that your Account has been the subject of any suspicious activity, immediately contact Sprouts Customer Care at www.sprouts.com/contact. Program earnings, rewards and benefits are not transferable and are not for sale, resale or barter.

3. Membership Cancellation.

Members may cancel their Sprouts Account at any time by contacting Sprouts Customer Care at www.sprouts.com/contact. Upon cancellation, any unused points or rewards accrued in the Account will be forfeited and cannot be redeemed.

II. POINTS

1. Point Earning.

Members can earn Sprouts Rewards points (“Points”) with the purchase of qualifying products at Sprouts stores, sprouts.com, and on the Sprouts App. Members must have an active Sprouts Account in order to earn Points. Members must provide member identification at checkout in stores to earn Points on in-store purchases; provided that you may submit a claim for points for up to 72 hours after a purchase by contacting us at www.sprouts.com/contact and supplying your name, Sprouts account number, and a complete copy of the sales receipt for the purchase for which you are seeking points. We reserve the right to validate any such claim and may refuse to grant points if we are not able to confirm to our reasonable satisfaction that the purchase was genuine and that you were the purchaser.

Qualifying purchases include only amounts paid for eligible merchandise items. Selected merchandise items may be excluded and disclosed at the point of sales. Without limiting the foregoing, amounts paid for anything listed in Section II.4 below are specifically excluded from earning points.

Points earned on in-store purchases generally will be awarded within 24 hours of purchase. Points earned for online/in-app purchases (including catering purchases) generally will be awarded within 24 hours of pickup or delivery of the order. Delays may occur in some instances. If after 72 hours you believe points have failed to be credited properly to your account, you may contact us at www.sprouts.com/contact. Points earned on in-store purchases and points earned for online/in-app purchases may vary.

Points are only redeemable for free products in the Program (“Program Rewards”) based on the Reward redemption rules as defined for the Program. Points are not assignable or transferable and Points have no cash value. You have no vested right or interest in the Points.

The current earning rate for Points is 10 per dollar spent on qualifying purchases.  The amount of the qualifying purchase will be rounded to the nearest whole dollar, with $0.01 through $0.49 rounding down, and $0.50 through $0.99 rounding up.  For example, a $24.49 qualifying purchase amount will result in 240 points (1 x 25).   The number of Points awarded per qualifying purchase is subject to change from time to time.

2. Bonus Offers.

The Sprouts Rewards Program may include bonus offers which will allow Members to earn additional Program bonus points. Bonus point offers are subject to the terms and conditions of the offer and may be administered at any time in the sole discretion of Sprouts.

3. Point Expiration.

If not used, Points expire on the first (1st) day of the month after the sixth (6th) month from the date such Points were earned in the Program. If Sprouts terminates the Program or if you terminate your Account, any unused points in your Account will expire and be void. Upon termination of your Account for any reason, including, but not limited to, whether you choose to close your Account, all points that you have accumulated in Program will immediately expire.

4. Exclusions from Earning Points and Redeeming Rewards.

Points are not earned, and Program Rewards cannot be used, on the following:

  • Alcoholic beverages
  • Taxes, refundable deposits (bottles, containers, etc. in some states), delivery & service fees
  • Gift cards
  • Postage
  • Third party delivery services
  • Prior purchases (except as provided in Section II.1 above)
  • Purchases at Sprouts in Chula Vista
  • Charitable donations
  • Lottery tickets
  • Fluid dairy purchases, depending on state and local laws

III. REWARDS

1. Earning Rewards

For each 1,000 Points earned, a Member becomes eligible to obtain a $2 Program Reward as described below.  The number of Points needed to receive a Program Reward, and the value of each Program Reward are subject to change from time to time.

2. Redeeming Points for a Program Reward.  

There are two different ways to obtain a Program Reward: 

(A)  Account Redemption.  Go to your Account and open the Rewards page.  You can then choose to convert your earned and non-expired Points, in increments of 1,000 Points, into Program Rewards.  Each 1,000 Points currently converts to a $2 Program Reward in your Account (subject to change from time to time).  Upon making a selection and converting Points, those Points become deducted from your Account. The maximum redemption amount per transaction is 25,000 points. 

(B) In-Store Redemption.  If you have sufficient Points in your Account to qualify for a Program Reward, you can claim it (and use it) during checkout using your Account; provided that under this method all available Program Rewards for which you qualify must be used at once in the same transaction – that is, you cannot choose how many of your Points to redeem in increments of 1,000 as in the prior option.

3.  Using/Redeeming a Program Reward.  

Once you have a Program Reward and it is in your Account, that Reward will be applied automatically the next time you make a Sprouts purchase instore or via Sprouts.com (or the Sprouts app); provided that you must use the Reward within sixty (60) days after it enters your Account.  All Program Rewards expire after 60 days.  If a Reward expires, the Points used to claim the Reward will not be refunded to you.  

4.  Limits on Use of Program Rewards.

Program Rewards may be redeemed on the purchase price of qualifying products only and cannot be used toward anything excluded in Section II.4 above. Multiple Program Rewards can be applied to the same purchase. Any portion of a Program Reward not fully redeemed in a purchase will remain in your account to be applied toward a future purchase, subject to the 60-day expiration period on all Program Rewards.

5.  Physical Rewards.  

You may earn a physical item through your participation in the Program under terms of particular offers communicated by Sprouts from time to time. Physical items cannot be shipped to P.O. Boxes. If you fail to provide your home mailing address within five (5) days of the date when you are notified, you will forfeit the physical item. You may be responsible for shipping and handling of physical items received through the Program, and we are not responsible for lost or stolen physical items. You are responsible for the payment of all taxes which may result from participation in the Program.

6. Reward Expiration.

Program Rewards expire 60 days after entering your Account.   If Sprouts terminates the Program or you terminate your Account, any unused Program Rewards in your Account will expire and be void. Upon termination of your Account for any reason, including, but not limited to, whether you choose to close your Account, all Program Rewards that you have accumulated in Program will immediately expire. By opting out of the Program, all Points and Rewards you have earned will no longer be available.

IV. ADDITIONAL TERMS

1. Changes or Termination of the Rewards Program.

The Program will continue until we terminate it, which we may do at any time in our discretion. Upon discontinuation of the Program, you may lose all benefits under the Program, including those yet to be redeemed. We also reserve the right to suspend or modify any Program, at our discretion, at any time. Please check the “Last Updated” legend at the top of this page to see when these Rewards Terms were last revised. When changes are made to these Rewards Terms, they will become immediately effective when published on this page unless otherwise noted. We encourage you to periodically review these Rewards Terms – there may have been changes to our policies that may affect you. If you do not agree to these Rewards Terms as modified, then you must discontinue your use of the Program. Your continued use of the Program will signify your continued agreement to these Rewards Terms as revised. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of material changes to these Rewards Terms. Such efforts might include posting notice on the Sprouts App, an email to the address we have on file, or a message in your Account.

2. Disclaimer; Limitation of Liability.

By participating in the Program, you agree that all decisions we make regarding the Program are final. The Program is subject to all applicable laws and regulations. WE MAKE NO REPRESENTATION OR WARRANTY OF ANY KIND IN CONNECTION WITH ANY REWARD PROGRAM, WHICH ARE PROVIDED ON AN “AS-IS” AND “AS-AVAILABLE” BASIS.

WE AND OUR AFFILIATES, SUBSIDIARIES, DIVISIONS AND RELATED COMPANIES AS WELL AS OUR AGENTS, SUPPLIERS, SERVICE PROVIDERS, AND RETAILERS (COLLECTIVELY, THE “RELEASEES”) WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES OF ANY KIND ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE REWARDS TERMS OR THE USE OR THE INABILITY TO USE THE PROGRAM, CONTENT OR EXTERNAL LINKS, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DAMAGES CAUSED BY OR RELATED TO ERRORS, OMISSIONS, INTERRUPTIONS, DEFECTS, DELAY IN OPERATION OR TRANSMISSION, OR ANY COMPUTER VIRUS OR FAILURE.

RELEASEES WILL ALSO NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF THE PROGRAM, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. RELEASEES ALSO SHALL NOT HAVE ANY LIABILITY OR RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY ACTS, OMISSIONS OR CONDUCT OF ANY USER OR OTHER THIRD-PARTY.

SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. For New Jersey Residents: Nothing herein bars recovery of damages or attorneys’ fees where mandated by statute.

IF A MEMBER PROVES THAT SPROUTS HAS IMPROPERLY DENIED SUCH MEMBER ANY PROGRAM REWARDS, THEN THE MEMBER’S SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY UNDER SUCH CIRCUMSTANCES WILL BE TO RECEIVE THE EQUIVALENT PROGRAM REWARD. MEMBERS IRREVOCABLY WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO SEEK INJUNCTIVE OR EQUITABLE RELIEF.

BY PARTICIPATING IN THE PROGRAM, EACH MEMBER AGREES THAT ANY LEGAL CLAIM OR CAUSE OF ACTION RELATED TO THE PROGRAM MUST BE SERVED AND FILED WITHIN ONE (1) YEAR AFTER THE FIRST OCCURRENCE OF THE ACT IN WHICH THE CLAIM OR ACTION IS BASED. EACH MEMBER ACKNOWLEDGES AND AGREES THAT THIS ONE (1) YEAR CONTRACTUAL LIMITATIONS PERIOD IS NOT SUBJECT TO TOLLING AND MAY BE SHORTER THAN THE DEFAULT STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS THAT WOULD OTHERWISE APPLY. AFTER SUCH ONE (1) YEAR PERIOD, THE AFFECTED CLAIM OR CAUSE OF ACTION WILL BE DEEMED WAIVED, AND THE ACT, EVENT, CONDITION OR OMISSION UPON WHICH THE AFFECTED CLAIM OR ACTION IS BASED SHALL BE DEEMED INCONTESTABLE.

3. Disputes, Arbitration, and Class Action Waiver.
